PANTONE® Converter for Wasatch runs in Windows or on Apple MAC OSX 10.9.5 or greater. Download the installation file for your computer platform, then run the installer. Pantone_to_Wasatch.msiFile Size: 4286 kbFile Type: msiDownload File Pantone_to_Wasatch_v3.dmgFile Size: 7391 kbFile Type: dmgDownload FileIMPORTANT: This is an unregistered Apple application, so the first time this program is opened on a Mac it will report a security exception. To override your security settings and open the app anyway:
*In Finder, locate the app you want to open. Don’t use Launchpad to do this. Launchpad doesn’t allow you to access the shortcut menu.
*Press the Control key, then click the app icon.
*Choose Open from the shortcut menu.
*Click Open.The app is then saved as an exception to your security settings, and you will be able to open it in the future by double-clicking it, just like any registered app.

This is a brief summary of how to use the program:
*Create the L*a*b* specification file using PANTONE® Color Manager and save it as a CxF3 or Text file. We suggest using the Windows version. The text file option may not be available on the Apple Mac versions of PANTONE® Color Manager. Some CxF3 files may not convert correctly.
*Open the file in PANTONE Converter for Wasatch. Then create the Wasatch SoftRIP CSV file.
*Create a Color Database.
*Import the CSV file into the Color Database. Be sure the set the correct Imaging Configuration for the import -- CIE Lab D50.
*Open the Colors Menu and select Special Colors. Then click Color Database and select the database you just created. This will create a color table for the specific imaging configuration you are working with. This imaging configuration must include an ICC profile.
*The Pantone Spot Test pdf can be used to validate the Wasatch SoftRIP Special Colors Table. If the relevant squares are colored then the installation is validated.
